Trapped Hikers assisted off Table Mountain

On Saturday 2 October 2021 at approximately 19:15, members of SARZA Cape were requested to respond to a rescue operation on Table Mountain.
Residents of the neighborhood at the foot of the Mountain had heard cries for help and a CCTV operator soon observed a person waving for help just below the upper cable station.
Three SARZA units responded and remained based at Metro 1, the mobile command post of the Western Cape Department of Health EMS Metro Rescue.


SARZA assisted with maintaining communication between the MCSA teams on the mountain and incident COMMAND.
All were assisted down safely.
